Great Customer Service

Joe and his wife made putting in our septic system a painless process. And, given the rocky, steep terrain and the standards from the town they had to work with, that was an amazing task!! Highly recommended.

Lisa Ruoff

Great customer service! They were very helpful and took the time to educate me on the workings of a septic system and how to properly use them.

A Loving

Not only did they do a great job on the septic installation but site work grading, light pole, electric conduit, sidewalk and stairs to our trailer, they were genuine, respectful, fast to respond! They worked well with other tradesmen. I'll hire them again. Locally owned family business with values.

If You need someone to pump your septic tank use Southwest Septic Pumping. Joseph was very professional and even came out on Saturday without extra charges. The other local company has yet to call back.

Septic Tank Pumping

Our team can have your septic tank pumped for your residential or commercial properties, whether it is a time-sensitive issue or you are due for routine work. While the sizes of septic tanks may vary among households and businesses, it is vital not to neglect the proper maintenance of your wastewater.

The frequency of a septic tank pumping can depend on multiple factors, including the number of people in a household, the size of the septic tank, and the number of solids added to the tank each day. Remember that items such as plastics, kitty litter, and other non-biodegradable materials can fill up the septic tank much quicker than using toilet paper and biodegradable matter from your body. (yes, poop). A properly maintained septic system will last for many years, but it can fail prematurely if not maintained regularly.

If you think that your household is due for septic tank pumping in a timely manner, schedule your service now! Our team will work fast and efficiently.

What does a typical residential pump-out service entail?

  • Uncovering access holes to tank
  • Checking for signs of backup
  • Cleaning the filter on the outlet sewage pipe if applicable
  • Identifying any leaks, structural damage, and issues with your tank
  • Pumping the entire contents of the tank, if necessary, based on scum/sludge
  • Covering the access holes back up

100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Southwest Septic is proud to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on our superior septic services. We stand behind our products and services, and we will make sure that you are happy with the work we do for you.

Transfer of Title
Septic
Inspection

The State of Colorado requires a transfer of title septic inspection for all properties with on-site septic systems whenever the property changes hands. This law went into effect in 2019, and it is designed to protect public health and the environment.

A transfer of title septic inspection must be performed by a certified septic inspector, and the results must be filed with the county in which the property is located. The inspection includes a visual inspection of the septic systems and a review of the maintenance records.

The inspector will look for evidence of sewage disposal problems, such as standing water or sewage odors. The inspector will also check if the septic system is properly maintained and functioning correctly. If the septic system fails the inspection, the new owner will be responsible for repairing or replacing the system.

A typical septic inspection includes the following on-site procedures:

  • Locate and uncover the septic tank lids using a locator, camera, and mini-excavator when necessary
  • Remove lids and do a visual septic inspection of inlet and outlet baffles and tees.
  • Test the disposal area and sewer inlet line by introducing high-volume water to the septic system
  • Pump the tank and inspect the structural integrity of the tank walls and lid. If a tank includes a filter, then the filter is cleaned at this point.
  • Inspect the yard for signs of surfacing or other indicators of disposal area failure or distress.
  • Replace tank lids and backfill and install risers over lids on the tank if necessary

Certified Experts

In 2019, the State of Colorado enacted a law that requires a septic inspection to be performed and a transfer of ownership filed for all properties with on-site wastewater treatment facilities (septic systems). This law requires all system inspectors to be NAWT trained and certified. This certification process ensures that all inspectors have the necessary experience to perform a septic inspection properly.

Southwest Septic’s inspectors are NAWT certified and have years of experience installing new systems and completing routine repair work on sewer lines, septic tanks, and conventional and alternate disposal areas.

What is a SEPTIC TANK RISER?

Risers are an important part of a septic system, and they should be installed by a qualified professional. Southwest Septic offers riser installation services to ensure that your septic system is up to code and working properly. Risers are pipes that extend from the top of the septic tank to the ground surface. They are used to access the septic tank for pumping and maintenance. Required by law in some states, they are strongly recommended in all cases. It makes it easy to pump the septic tank and inspect the tank for damage. They also provide a way to service the leach field without digging up the entire system.

If you need a riser installed, call Southwest Septic. We will come to your property and assess your septic system to see if a riser is necessary. We will then provide you with a free estimate for the installation.
